Meet Mark
As a residential housing specialist, I have over 10 years experience in the real estate market, both as a Realtor and as a real estate investor. Whether someone is buying or selling a home, doing a 1031 Exchange, or in need of Landlord/Tenant advice, I commit myself entirely to their success. If someone has a question I don’t know the answer to, I’ll make sure to track it down ASAP. I always say, “When my clients are happy, I’m happy.”
Prior to real estate, I spent 18 years in the world of journalism, writing for, editing and publishing various magazines, including Rapport, The SilverLake Local, California Contractor and Northwest Senior Life (a publication for seniors I personally launched and grew in the Portland area).
I’m an avid sailor, and back in 2018, my wife, two daughters and myself moved aboard our sailboat, SaareLill, and took the “big left turn” towards Mexico. We spent a couple amazing years aboard, learning a new culture while sailing mostly around the Sea of Cortez. Family is the most important thing in our lives, and my wife and I used our journey as a way to spend priceless time with our children each and every day.
I love to volunteer my spare time at the Polaris Theater in downtown Port Orchard, where a group of dedicated folks are transforming the old Dragonfly movie theater on Bay Street into something new and exciting. It’s a great way to give back to the community we all love so much and, hopefully, we’ll see our efforts pay off for years to come as Port Orchard benefits from the new venue.
I’m a member of the Port Orchard Yacht Club where I edit the annual Yearbook publication and serve on the Membership Committee. I’m also a member in good standing of the South Kitsap Chamber of Commerce here in Port Orchard as well as the Kitsap Peninsula Mycological Society. I also love to fish, scuba dive, cook, read books and take hikes with my kids!
